Explanation

 

The futures market looks at the underlying sectors in the Equities market and calculates constantly updating forecasts of the indexes over the next 6 day periods (shorter time periods for the Main and SIM market index).

A trader can take out contracts (max 2 at any one time per sector) either going "Long" (Higher) or "Short" (Lower)over the contract period. They then bet an amount per point move.

If successful they will get the following:

Finish Index - Start Index * £ per point.

It should be noted that when a contract is live it cannot be closed and has to run its course.

Alongside this traders can also bet on the individual companies within a sector....but you have to upgrade
